I'm back at it again. I have begun planning the first of two decks for my backyard. What I'm trying to decide is whether or not to use cedar for the decking or spruce. I know that I can finish spruce to look like I want and it will be great, but cedar I can leave unfinished and it looks great.

So if you scroll down through this blog and find the photo with the table and umbrella, then you'll know where I'm putting the deck. I want to put a small deck in that corner that will define the space and be big enough for a small bistro set. Imagine a rectagle 8' x 6' with one corner cut off and you'll probalby have a good idea what I'm going to build. This deck will also serve as a stage for the first yard concert which I'm certain will happen in September.
